Wildcat Mentor Society

Bear Down, Mentor Up!

About the Arizona Alumni Association Wildcat Mentor Society

Successful University of Arizona alumni know how valuable making connections and growing a professional network can be, especially for young professionals. Their enthusiasm for helping Arizona students and fellow alumni succeed has inspired the creation of the Wildcat Mentor Society. This program will connect Arizona alumni with current students in a mutually beneficial learning and sharing environment.

Mentees will gain knowledge on how to navigate everything from college to career to personal experiences. Mentors will enable them to build their professional network, strengthen their Arizona alumni network, and create deep, meaningful mentor-mentee relationships which may last well beyond this program.

'One hour a month can change a lifetime.'

— Andy Harris '87, mentor, CEO of Accella Performance Materials

Through monthly, one-hour group meetings, mentors will be able to have a dramatic impact on the lives of future alumni. Mentors will be handpicked UA alumni with significant professional experience. They will mentor up to 5 current UA students in monthly, group phone conferences. This ratio will allow mentees to form transformative connections not only with their mentor but with the other mentees as well. With the participation of our alumni mentors, we will build this into an extraordinary opportunity for UA’s most promising leaders of today and tomorrow.
