The UA Alumni Association hosts the Work, Wisdom and Wealth series as an avenue of professional development for our alumni and the community. The featured speaker discusses their achievements and challenges on their journey to becoming a successful leader.

Featured speakers:

Chad Schneider, Jellyvision, senior director of channel sales

Chad Schneider is an insurance industry veteran of over 17 years. He is currently the senior director of channel sales at Jellyvision, based in Chicago. Chad previously worked with Code SixFour as their chief sales officer. Prior to that, he worked at Aflac for 14 years and was a pioneer of their broker strategy. Chad has held several positions with the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) at the national level including being the youngest member of the national board of trustees and the co-founder of the Vanguard Council. In 2017, Chad was the co-founder of the newly formed Downtown Chicago chapter for NAHU where it is the fastest growing chapter in the country.

Michael Salvatore, 5th Gen Hospitality, owner

If you had asked a young Mike Salvatore what he wanted to be when he grew up, the answer probably wouldn't have included bikes, coffee, or any combination thereof. Fortunately, somewhere along the way Mike hatched a plan to seamlessly integrate biking and coffee cultures, and he-along with his wife, Melissa - has worked diligently to bring his plan to life.

Before opening Heritage Bicycles, Mike spent years helping to establish and grow Bowery Lane Bicycles in New York City. As a fifth-generation Chicagoan, however, the draw of the City of Big Shoulders became too strong to ignore. So, Mike and Melissa, along with their newborn, Bennett, trekked back to the Midwest to open up shop.
