Cuba boasts a cache of vibrant culture, fascinating history and heritage and welcoming locals. This People-to-People educational exchange, licensed by the U.S. Treasury Department, is brimming with opportunities to learn and explore. Enjoy authentic experiences as you uncover Cuban culture during presentations by local experts coupled with visits to historic sites, museums, schools and community projects. Begin by exploring Havana’s highlights and historic district. Visit Hemingway’s former home, ride in an antique convertible and meet local artists and Afro-Cuban dancers. Discover Cuban art at a local art studio and the National Museum of Fine Arts. See cigar makers craft Cuba’s most famous export. En route to Cienfuegos, visit a sugar cane factory. Discover Trinidad’s historic and architectural splendors, engage with a local family and enjoy a Cienfuegos musical performance. The program includes round trip charter flights from Miami, all excursions and interactive activities and talks. Your small-group experience features first-class accommodations and an extensive meal plan including local beverages with dinner.

Your travels will include:

  • Havana and a tour of local businesses
  • A tour of Old and New Havana, a visit to an elementary school, and a salsa performance
  • A drive through Old Havana in a classic convertible, and visits to the Sephardic Hebrew Center, a contemporary dance studio, the University of Havana, and a ballet school
  • Visits to a cigar factory, the National Museum of Fine Arts, and the Casa de Cultura, a cultural center for children
  • A drive to Pinar del Río, and visits to Las Terrazas (a model socialist community) and a senior home
  • Cienfuegos, the fortress of La Cabaña, and the Bay of Pigs
  • Trinidad, visits to a Santería temple and a private home, and a choral concert
  • A visit to a health clinic and a vocational school
  • Informative educational programs by local experts
