To cap off Moon Landing Week, Flandrau will host "One Giant Leap Day!" with family-friendly Moon activities and special planetarium shows. This is the actual day that the Apollo 11 astronauts first set foot on the Moon 50 years ago on July 20, 1969.
Flandrau will provide activities in support of the Summer Science Saturday presentations happening next door at the UA Lunar and Planetary Lab, and in support of the “Moon” exhibit that opens on this day in the UA Library’s Special Collections exhibit space. Both Summer Science Saturday and the “Moon” exhibit are a short walk from Flandrau.
Flandrau offers special Moon activities from 1-4 p.m. For "One Giant Leap Day!," they will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
