The BayCat Next Door is a new series of panel discussions that focus on relevant topics to professional life in Northern California. Enlisting some of the most interesting alumni in the Bay Area, we’ll learn how they got to where they are, contribute to our communitiesand make an impact in the trade as well as gain insights into trends that shape their industries.

The first discussion will feature Doug Beach from Adobe and Susan Greenhow from Industrial Light and Magic.

  • Doug Beach is the senior creative director at Adobe. Prior to this role, he worked with clients including NPR, Red Herring, and NewMedia Magazine.
  • Susan Greenhow joined Industrial Light & Magic in 1996 and worked her way through the production ranks to her current role as senior visual effects producer. In her role, she plans and executes the renowned computer graphics created by ILM’s Visual Effects team, often times leveraging cutting edge R&D efforts to push the limits of what can be achieved in computer graphics.

The BayCat Next Door is moderated by Caren Alpert ’93, a commercial and fine art photographer specializing in portraits, food and interiors. She’s been published in numerous magazines ranging from Conde Nast Traveler to the New York Times and LUXE.
