Arizona Alumni collaborates with the Dean of Students Office to recognize current students who demonstrate outstanding achievement, personal growth, and active and enthusiastic participation and service in community and University endeavors. 

Nugent Award — est. 1964

The Robert Logan Nugent Award was established by Arizona Alumni and is named in memory of Robert Logan Nugent, the executive vice president of the University of Arizona who died in 1963. Nugent served Tucson and the University for more than 30 years and was particularly devoted to guiding and helping Arizona's young men and women.

Centennial Achievement Awards

Undergraduate — est. 1984

The Centennial Achievement Award was created by the University of Arizona Division of Student Affairs to be presented annually. This award is presented to two students who are graduating during the current academic year and have demonstrated outstanding personal growth by making a contribution to self, community and family, among other criteria. 

Award: A monetary award of $250 provided by the Dean of Students Office, accompanied by an engraved plaque provided by Arizona Alumni. 

Graduate — est. 1987

Presented to four students who are working on an advanced degree program in the Graduate College during the current academic year. The award is presented to three master's level students and two doctoral level students. The purpose for these awards is to recognize outstanding achievements and contributions by Graduate College students and to provide financial assistance and recognition to encourage these students to complete their graduate studies. 

Award: A $500 stipend provided by the Graduate College and an engraved plaque provided by Arizona Alumni.
